Patrick O'Connell HS2
The current executive director with the Office of the Chief of Naval Personnel (CNP) in Washington, DC, Patrick O'Connell assumed this position in 2015 to transform processes and technology with a focus on reducing costs and boosting return on investment. Before joining CNP, he served as interim chief executive officer of the air traffic control services company Aquila and oversaw operations at High Speed Two (HS2) Limited as interim program and strategy director. Working out of London, Patrick O'Connell led the transition of HS2 from a parliamentary and policy organization to a project execution and delivery organization capable of developing an $85 billion rail system to serve UK commuters and commerce interests.
Outside of the professional arena, he works out six times a week, going to the gym and jogging on alternate days. He is presently training for a powerlifting competition.
